Helloooo! This is YOUR MORNING SAUCE! Let’s start this morning off with stretching our imagination. Who was your favorite childhood super hero growing up? Or maybe this super hero is still your favorite.

I had quite a few but I can tell you my favorite till this day is Wonder Woman. I love Wonder Woman. She’s smart, rich, confident, humble, loving, and just an overall baddie. 

I wanted to be just like her but life’s hardships made think I was never going to be like her, that was my belief for many years UNTIL – I pushed past those hardships and realized, I AM my own Wonder Woman!

In fact, You and I – ARE- our own super hero. Every morning a hero is reborn. Every time we open our eyes and our bodies rise again, we are choosing in that moment to show up for ourselves. 

Think about your day ahead. What does it hold for you? What challenges are you about to face? Have you been through worse before? If so, your challenges today have nothing on you! 

Let’s shine some light on your strengths for a minute. Think of 3 of your top skills and strengths. What are they? Maybe it’s communication, cooking, being a positive person, or just simply being a good friend. Whatever those 3 strengths are, focus on those super powers today. Find some pride in those strengths. Not every person has these super powers and this is what makes you more special.

 

Far to often you don’t give yourself the credit and acknowledgment you deserve. In fact, most of us are in a habit of getting up and doom scrolling right away. We give our power, energy, and attention to a galaxy of virtual reality before we even give it to ourselves. We seek outside approval for our gifts and forget our super hero abilities. Psssh, not no more! Today, we are starting with ourselves. 

So listen up super hero baddie! Let me remind you who you REALLY are:

YOU are able to leap over mountains of fear and give the unknown a wink and a high-five.

YOU are faster than the speed of negative energy and dodge anything and anyone who is threatening your peace.

YOU are a strong super hero and use your abilities to help others and make a difference.

YOU don’t waste time over spilt milk, YOU solve problems and find solutions!

 YOU take on challenges that help you grow and expand your well-being.

Now take a minute, place both hands on the sides of your hips, stand tall, chest open, shoulders back, chin up, and POWER POSE! Ka-POW!

Just a side note, according to some research, “power posing” has been shown to decrease cortisol, the stress hormone and increase confidence potentially leading to improved performance and a greater willingness to take risks. I mean, but YOU already knew that because duh’ you’re a super hero. 

Alright, well I know you have a busy super hero life, so it’s time to let you FLY. BUT remember, super heros need to be refueled also, so don’t forget to take some YOU time, breathe and recharge today. Now, go out there and kick butt, you super hero!
