Helloooo!! This is YOUR MORNING SAUCE! Whelp, here we are guys. Another day of adulting. Now as you know, I’m not a morning person and frankly I didn’t want to get up today buuuut here I am killin’ it.

Honestly, I got up for a quick trip to the b-room and then tried to get back into bed but once my brain was up, it was up.

I started thinking how good some fresh made tea would taste. My brain got all excited about it and like a little kid excited about a new adventure, my brain wouldn’t stop talking about it.

Has this ever happened to you? Do you deal with an excited morning brain when your body is tired and ready to go lay back down?

I call this the special case of the “Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays…”

It’s an everyday thing baby, everyday thing.

Most days I’m totally fine with this but on the days that my body is not on the same page with my brain and is being all sluggish thuggish bone, it can be rather challenging to get going. Do you know what I mean?

So what do you do when you brain and your body are not on the same page? Well let’s wake up our bodies!

I’m going to share with you 5 tips to help you get your body up to speed with your brain so you can feel more aligned, energized, and ready to slay your day.

1.      Drink a cup of water. – Studies show that drinking just one glass of water first thing in the morning increases your metabolism by 25%. A faster metabolism will make your entire body feel better and increase your energy aaaand your blood and oxygen flow.

2.      Go outside and get some Natural Sunlight. – The beautiful thing about natural sunlight is it gives you that first morning glimpse of happiness, alertness, and vitamin D. It also helps boosts your cognitive performance, enhances focus, improves mood, and decreases depression.

3.      Tapping. – Also known as EFT which means (Emotional Freedom Technique) Studies show that tapping allows the brain and body to release stress and negative emotions, as well as calm and regulate the central nervous system.

4.      Breathing. – Can you believe just breathing can help improve your energy? It does! However, it’s important to be mindful during this practice. Breathing in through your nose, relaxing your shoulders, and paying attention to your breathe as you inhale and exhale is the key. When you’re mindful of your breathing, this is when you can actually FEEL your own breath working miraculously for your body. It's pretty magical.

5.      Move your body. – Some people like to exercise first thing in the mornings, some people like to stretch. Me, I like to dance! But whatever it is that you like to do, just move your body! Your brain is already at the party gettin’ it’s groove on, it’s time to allow your body to do the same.

In a weird way, our brain is like a toddler and our body is like the teenager that always wants to stay up late and sleep in. It’s strange and fascinating how everyday it’s our job to gather our mind, body, and soul to unify so it can work the best for us and help US become the best for ourselves.

Yes, it’s work, it’s discipline, but it can also be FUN if we find the humor in it.

Remember, don’t take life so seriously that it’s bringing you down and keeping you stuck there, it’s not like any of us are getting out alive. LOL Now let’s wake our bodies up so we can join the party of life! Are you ready? Let’s do this!
