Helloooo! This is YOUR MORNING SAUCE! Good Morning! Today I’ve got a good one for ya…Here’s why it’s imperative you choose to be someone with positive energy over negative energy, because STUDIES SHOW…

Let me say that again, Studies show….I’m sorry, I don’t think I said it clearly the first time, STUDIES SHOW. 

Are you grasping what I’m saying here? Are you understanding the words coming out of my mouth? Are you smelling what the rock is cooking? What the Ice is melting? What the plane is flying? What the cake is baking? 

“Studies show” means that someone or a multitude of people spent years upon years studying this subject so the majority of us don’t have to. And in this case, Studies show that people with a positive attitude overcome difficulties more quickly and are more resilient in life and in work. 

Studies also show that a positive mindset is the breeding ground for creativity, expansive and visionary thinking, empathy, cooperation, and connection.

According to Psychologist Professor, Dr. Barbara Fredrickson, who has spent over 30 years studying the effects of Positive and Negative emotions, her findings shed light on how people with a positive mindset become stronger and develop exponentially in overcoming obstacles and becoming better leaders in the workspace.

Now, Dr. Barbara Fredrickson does say, AND I QUOTE, “All emotions – whether positive or negative – are adaptive in the right circumstances. The key seems to be in finding a balance between the two.”

So this means, don’t beat yourself up over negative emotions, but also, don’t let them run your life because it has a powerful effect on your day, your life, your health, and your relationships.

If you are finding yourself super negative this morning, the best way to get a hold of this energy gone rampage, is to first become aware of the conversations in your head. Be the silent witness, Now take a few deep breathes. Now, decide to take control by snapping yourself out of the negative repetition. 

You can do this by saying positive affirmations out loud, reading or listening to something positive like a book or podcast, or calling someone who can snap you out of your own head. Preferably someone you know who has a positive outlook on life in that moment.

Breaking the negative patters is something that will benefit you here and now and also in your future to come. Plus, you don’t want to be carrying around a big bag of yucky emotions all day when you could be using that energy to expand your dreams, hit your goals, create smiley memories with your friends and family, and build your empire.
